The entry about Ransom B. Folts in a 1901 Grant County, Wisconsin, biographical record shows his brother, Richard Folts, was born in New York in 1840 and enlisted in Company I, 3rd Wisconsin V. I., was taken sick, and died in the hospital at Fredericksburg in the fall of 1861.
