Most of the information about Bonnie Cattnach Endres and her family were received from Stephen Cattnach, with whom she had shared genealogy information. These records showed she was born August 7, 1930, in Austin, Mower County, Minnesota. In a telephone conversation on December 12, 1998, Raymond Endres advised that his wife, Bonnie Endres, had died March 18, 1998, in her sleep at their home at 205 Glenview Drive, Ashland, Oregon 97520, telephone number 541-482-0907. She had been the only one in their family who was interested in genealogy and had worked on the family history on her computer.
The obituary for Bonnie J. Endres appeared in the Medford Mail Tribune, Medford, Oregon, found online in August 2000 at http://www.mailtribune.com/archive/98/mar98/32198n5.htm. It showed "Bonnie J. Endres - Mass will be celebrated for Bonnie J. Endres at 8 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church, Ashland. Interment will follow in Eagle Point National Cemetery. A vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mrs. Endres, 67, of Ashland, died Wednesday (March 18, 1998) at her home. She was born Bonnie Cattnach on Aug. 9, 1930, in Austin, Minn. She attended Austin schools before moving with her parents to Billings, Mont., where she graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1948. After earning a teaching certificate from Eastern Montana College, Billings, she taught one year at Hardin, Mont., Elementary School. In 1952, in Billings, she married Raymond J. Endres, who survives. They moved to Ashland in 1988 from Sacramento, Calif., and also had lived in Bowling Green, Ohio, for seven years. Mrs. Endres was active in local arts. She chaired the Rogue Valley Opera Association's finance committee and had served as its treasurer. She also was principal organist at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. An avid bowler, Mrs. Endres competed in several leagues and posted several 600 series this season. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons, David, Daniel and Donald, all Sacramento; three daughters, Anna Marie Meyer and Rebecca Endres, Sacramento, and Delena Roth, Westerville, Ohio; a sister, Orpha Grooms, Billings; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland."
The Social Security death index confirmed that Bonnie Endres was born August 7, 1930, and died March 18, 1998, while residing at 97520 Ashland, Jackson, Oregon. Her Social Security number 517-24-8169 was issued in Montana before 1951.
