Roll Tescher is shown as a white male age 33 born in Indiana, with his father born in Indiana and his mother in Kentucky. He is shown as a farmer with a general farm that he rents and operates on his own account. His wife, Grace Tescher, is shown as age 29, born in South Dakota, with both her parents born in Wisconsin. Both Roll and Grace Tescher can speak, read, and write English. All five of their children are shown asborn in South Dakota with their father born in Indiana and their mother in South Dakota. Lee Tescher, their son age 9, and Thelma Tescher, their daughter age 6, attended school in the prior year. Barbara Tescher, their daughter age 4 1/2, John Tescher, their son age 2, and their unnamed infant son age 1/12 are not yet in school.

Tescher had three cash purchases of land patents in Perkins County, South Dakota, all at the 7th Meridian, Township 018 N, Range 012 E, in Sections 9 and 10. Document number 92616 dated December 1, 1909, is indexed to cash sales of 80 acres in Section 9 and 80 acres in Section 10 to Roll E. Tescher. Document identification number 123814 dated April 7, 1910, refers to a cash sale of 40 acres to Roll E. Tescher in Section 10. There is also a listing of a homestead patent for John C. Tescher in Perkins County, South Dakota, all at the 7th Meridian, Township 018 N, Range 012 E, in Sections 17, of 160 acres with a document identification number of 340696 dated June 11, 1913.
