Notes for Charles MORRISON

Charles Morrison and his family are listed in the 1880 U.S. Census for Groton, Caledonia County, Vermont (ED 45, page 14) right below his father, Francis Morrison. Charles is shown as a married white male age 31 whose occupation is farmer and who was born in Vermont as were his parents. His wife, Jane Morrison is shown as a married white female age 31 who was born in Vermont, along with her parents. Their son, John Morrison, is shown as a white male age 3 who was also born in Vermont.

The 1900 U.S. Census for Groton, Caledonia County, Vermont (SD 274, ED 44, Sheet 2, Line 87) lists Charles Morrison as a white male age 52 born in October 1847 in Vermont, with both his parents born in Vermont. It shows he and his wife have been married 18 years. He is a farmer with no months unemployed and owns his farm mortgage free. His wife is shown as Myra Morrison, a white female age 53 born in December 1846 in Vermont, with both her parents born in New Hampshire. It shows she is the mother of one child who is living. Both Charles and Myra Morrison can read, write, and speak English.
