Francis Morrison and his family are listed in the 1850 U.S. Census for Groton, Caledonia County, Vermont, on page 130. Francis Morrison is shown as a Labourer, age 28, and born in Vermont. Katharine Morrison is shown as age 24 born in Vermont. All four children were also born in Vermont. Albert is 7; Levi is 5; Charles is 3; and Angeline is 1. Albert and Levi attended school within the year.

The 1860 U.S. Census for Groton, Caledonia County, Vermont, on page 173 shows Francis Morrison as a farmer, age 40, with real estate valued at $800 and personal estate valued at $100. He and all the other members of his household are shown as born in Vermont. With him are Ruby Morrison, age 36, Albert Morrison, age 17, Levi Morrison, age 15, Chs. Morrison, a male age 14, Angeline Morrison, age 11, Mils Morrison, a male age 8, Geo. Morrison, a male age 10, Orrin Morrison, a male age 6, Nathan, a male age 3, and Eliza Morrison, age 1. The seven oldest children attended school within the year according to the census record.

Francis Morrison is listed on page 14 in the 1880 U.S. Census for Groton, Caledonia County, Vermont (ED 45) which shows him as a married white male age 58 who was born in Vermont as were his parents. He is shown as a clergyman. No family members are shown with him in this census.
