The 1920 U.S. Census for Buchanan County, Missouri (Volume 11, ED 61, Sheet 2A, Line 26) shows William Violett as head of the household and age 27, born in Missouri, with his father born in Kentucky and his mother in Missouri. He rents their house and works for wages as a freight handler with the Railroad Company. They are living at 2011 Jones Street, St. Joseph, Buchanan County, Michigan. Blanche Violett, his wife, is shown as age 27, born in Iowa, with both of her parents born in Wisconsin and her occupation shown as home. Their daughter Helen, age 6, is in school and was born in Iowa. Their son Paul, age 5, was also born in Iowa. Their son Leo, age 2 11/12, and their daughter Ruth, age 9/12, were both born in Missouri according to the census.

It is quite possible that the William Violett born January 7, 1892, whose Social Security number 500-07-4634 was issued in Missouri before 1951, and who died in February 1963 and is listed in the Social Security death index may be this person.
