He rents their house and works for wages as a freight handler with the railroad company. They are living at 2011 Jones Street, St. Joseph, Buchanan County, Michigan. Blanche Violett, his wife, is shown as age 27, born in Iowa, with both of her parents born in Wisconsin and her occupation shown as home. Their daughter Helen, age 6, is in school and was born in Iowa. Their son Paul, age 5, was also born in Iowa. Their son Leo, age 2 11/12, and their daughter Ruth, age 9/12, were both born in Missouri according to the census.
