Notes for Eva Frances THURTELL

The 1963 Thurtell Family History and the History of the Thurtell Family done about 1968 by Susan Persia Thurtell show Eva FrancesThurtell married Reginald Angst.

Much of the information about Eva Thurtell Angst and her family was provided in 1997 by her daughter, Charlotte Mackie.

A brochure prepared by Charlotte V. Mackie, of Guelph, Ontario, "Benjamin Thurtell and Descendants" for the "Woodlawn Cemetery Self Guided Memorial Walking Tour," Woodlawn Cemetery, 762 Woolwich Street, Guelph, Ontario, Canada N1H 3Z1,shows that Eva Frances Thurtell married Reginald Angst of Clifford in 1930, and they settled on a farm in Nichol Township, Ontario, Camada, where their three children were raised. Eva "helped Reg on the farm and kept a vegetable garden, made clothes for the children, and was a member of the Ponsonby Institute. They sold the farm in 1967 and lived in a bungalow built by Reg on the corner of the farm. He died in 1975. In 1978 Eva retired to Guelph and died in Guelph Township on June 2, 1983." She is buried in this cemetery.
