Notes for Anne BROWNE

The family tree done by Harriet Thurtell about 1900, the 1963 Thurtell Family History, and the History of the Thurtell Family done by Susan Persia Thurtell about 1968, provide much of the information about Anne Browne Thurtell and her husband, John Thurtell. Anne is buried at Blundeston, and her tomb shows Anne Thurtell, died September 12, 1834, age 72 years.

Information received from Peter Murray in 1997 shows that Anne Browne was baptised at Lowestoft on June 13, 1762, and was the daughter of John and Mary Skoulding Browne of Lowestoft and Blundeston. She married John Thurtell at Blundeston on September 25, 1787. Her relatives were the proprietors of the Lowestoft China Factory.
